Ashley Brook is an award-winning director and producer with 15 years of experience in the documentary film & tv industry. As an all-in-one filmmaker she contributes to every aspect of production and post, from research, to cinematography, to editing and animation. Her work on the Canadiana series, produced by her company, The Canadiana Project, has garnered top industry awards including a Golden Sheaf Award, two CCE Awards, and Banff Rockie & CSA nominations. In addition to Canadiana, Brook has worked in documentary in a variety of roles since 2009, with credits on high-profile, internationally-acclaimed series and features for CBC, HBO, Bell Media, Discovery, History, National Geographic, ARTE, TVO, and VICE. She’s an alumna of the NETFLIX-Banff Diversity of Voices Initiative & DOC Breakthrough Program. She holds a degree in Communications (Wilfrid Laurier), and postgraduate diplomas in Documentary Filmmaking (Seneca) and Film & Television Post-Production (Humber).

Kyle Cucco is an award-winning filmmaker based in Toronto. As the co-creator of the Canadiana series, Cucco has been involved in all aspects of production, from writing to animating, and has received numerous accolades for his work including a Canadian Cinema Editors Award, a Golden Sheaf Award, and CSA & Rockie Award nominations. In addition to Canadiana, he’s worked as a documentary writer, researcher and video editor, and comes from a background of set work on documentaries and factual series. Cucco holds a degree in Film Studies and English (2010) from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Certificate in Film and Television Production (2013) from Toronto Metropolitan University.
